JoAnn L. Banda

August 26, 1936 ~ March 10, 2010

JoAnn L. Banda, age 73 years, of Wymore died Wednesday morning, March10, 2010 at her home.  She was born August 26, 1936 at Grand Rapids, Michigan where she attended school and spent most of her life before moving to Wymore in July 1991.  She had been employed as a waitress, for Holiday Inn, and as a seamstress for Gill Mfg. while living in Grand Rapids.  JoAnn was a member of the Wymore Church Of Christ.  Her hobbies included playing bingo, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

JoAnn is survived by three children, Warren DeGlopper and his wife Lorraine of Blue Springs, Gail Vasquez of Wymore; and Penny Russell of Phillipsburgh, KS; by nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and by a sister, Peggy Fish of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Florence (George) McKean; by an infant son Scott William, by a son-in-law, Donnie Russell, and by her former husband, Warren DeGlopper, Sr. 

Memorial to the Wymore Rescue Unit with the funeral home in charge.

Burial will be at Grand Rapids, Michigan at a later date.

There will be no viewing or visitation. 

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 North Ninth Street, Wymore with Clayton Lundstedt of the Wymore Church Of Christ officiating.
