Louise Irene Field

Louise Irene Field, age 79 years, of Wymore died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Glenn Warren, Jr., in Lincoln.   She was born April 29, 1932 at Liberty where she spent her childhood and attended Liberty Public School.  She married Clyde A. Field on March 12, 1950 at the Wymore Christian Church.  Louise was employed at the former Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice from Nov. 1958 until Oct. 1966, after which she was employed in the hospital at the Beatrice State Developmental Center as a developmental technician from Oct. 1966 until her retirement on April 29, 1994.  She later worked part-time at the Family Unifying Network in Wymore until  Sept. 1999, at the former Laura’s Floral, and the libraries at Southern Public Schools, the Wymore  Food Pantry, was an active volunteer and receptionist at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center, and as a receptionist at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home.  Louise was a member of the Wymore Church Of Christ where she was a past president of the Naomi Circle of the church, a member of the Pairs ‘N Spares Class, was Sunday School secretary, and served as a deaconess for the church.  She was an active participant of Wymore civic activities and also helped compose the Wymore Area Facts Book.  Her hobbies included music, reading, sewing and especially her family.

Louise is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Watkins and her husband Linden of St. Helens, Oregon; Laura Warren and her husband Glenn, Jr. of Lincoln; by a son-in-law, Larry Brigman and his wife Shirley of Nickerson, KS; by a nephew, Billy Nemyer and his wife Lois of Bucyrus, MO; by six grandchildren, Amy Baldwin and her husband Anthony of Buhler, KS; Cherie Hampl and her husband Ryan of  Salina, KS; Kristy Frazier and her husband Rhon of St. Helens, Oregon; Brandon, Ryan, and Dylan Warren all of Lincoln; by three great grandchildren, Justin and Timothy Hampl and Samantha Baldwin; by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Vasey of Wymore; and by nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, William Richard and Lillie Cloe (Maguire) Vasey; by her husband, Clyde, on April 4, 1989; by her daughter, Mary Lou Brigman, on July 11, 1997; by three sisters, Ina Cole, Helen Cussins, and an infant sister, Tylene Vasey; and by a brother, Harold Vasey.

Memorial to the church and the Wymore Good Samaritan Center with Carol and Clayton Scott in charge.

Burial will be at the Wymore Cemetery. 

Visitation will be at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 N. 9th Street, Wymore from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m Wednesday with her family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and at the church one hour preceding the service. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at the Wymore Church of Christ, Hwy 77 & M Street, Clayton Lundstedt officiating.
