Obituary:
Wilmetta L. Bartek, 78 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the Wymore Good Samaritan Center Saturday morning, August 20, 2011. She was born on September 19, 1932 in Hebron, NE. to Wilmer and Olga (Baloun) Wayman and was a 1950 graduate of Beatrice High School. She and Lowell Bartek were married on November 2, 1951 in Blue Springs, NE. Wilmetta accompanied her husband on various military tours of duty from 1952 until moving to Beatrice in April of 1973. Wilmetta enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved animals, and collected porcelain ducks and clocks. Survivors include her husband Lowell; 4 sons, Matthew Scott Bartek and wife Charlotte of Wylie, TX., Michael James Bartek and wife Terri of Sparks, NV., Thomas Andrew Bartek and with Kathy of Falls City, NE., and Mark Allen Bartek and wife Deeda of Ponder, TX.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilmer and Olga (Baloun) Wayman; an infant son David; and sister Cina Keefover.
Memorial:
A memorial has been established to the Beatrice Humane Society with the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice in charge.
Cemetery:
Private family graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Evergreen Home Cemetery.
Visitations:
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
